Advisor Business Development
As of the 1st of January 2018 Tjeerd de Groot joined The IP Company. Tjeerd started his career at TNO in 1989 in Research and Development for Naval Mine Warfare and held several management and market related positions over the last 25 years; all of his work related to the Netherlands armed forces. In January 2017. Tjeerd was assigned to work for the NIDV as Business Development Manager Land for a period of 6 months. On his return to TNO at July 1st 2017, he assumed responsibility for the relation from TNO with Netherlands Defence related Industries.
During Tjeerd’s career at the NIDV he learned about The IP Company and got acquainted with Ronald Koppelman. This led to his current involvement with the IP company for one day a week while still holding his position at TNO. Tjeerd will assist The IP Company as “advisor business development”. His extensive network within, and knowledge of the Defence industry will help The IP Company to position their WCMS with current and new customers. The IP Company’s mission is to provide all Naval ships with the Wireless Communication and Messaging System (WCMS). Tjeerd is going to support The IP Company in achieving that goal. His main focus is to make sure effective and efficient incident management will increase the safety on board of naval ships, even in situations with seriously reduced manning.
